The History of Ned’s Pizza

Our original owners, Bob and Don, met in the 3rd grade at St. Monica's School. Growing up together, they had a lot of fun sharing the same teachers, friends, and hobbies.

As adults, they decided to open a business together and discussed their venture at the Northway Tavern. After eight years of business meetings at the tavern, they decided to open Ned's Pizza in 1969.

Since then, Ned's Pizza has been a favorite of Milwaukee residents and businesses alike. To this day, our continued success is largely due to our loyal customers and their families over many generations.

Every day we see people whose parents always ordered from Ned's, just as their grandparents did, and now they too count on us for the best pizza in town.

Is it nostalgia, our fresh made sauce and dough, or the simple fact that Ned's is the very definition of Milwaukee pizza? The answer may be different for different people. Still, our customers know that they can always count on our exceptional food and superior customer service.

In late 2022, our original owners, and Bob's daughter Leanne, retired from Ned's Pizza and promoted employee ownership. Today, every employee owns a piece of Ned's, and our Employee Owners are fully committed to carrying on the tradition of Ned's pizza for many years to come.
